Meir's Swearing In Ceremony

Hi,
I just spoke to Meir. He survived his few days out in the field. No sleep. no food. His unit ddid very well apparently.

His Tekes Hashbarah (?) (swearing in ceremony) is tomorrow, Wednesday at 8pm Israel time at the Kotel. I imagine you could see it on the Kotel Cam

I did it!!!

Who said you can't dance at 2 weddings at the same time. I just proved them wrong. Today I was able to eat at 2 shmorgs, be at 2 chupas and dance at 2 weddings. They were both beautiful. I found out that Marsha Pincus (who was at 1 of the weddings) her granddaughter married Felt from Memphis. On teh way home I stopped to see Grandpa and Herbert. Renee was there too. They both look good and grandpa is able to stand up from teh wheelchair and is walking with teh walker and therapist. (he said). Oh yeah I am going away with Gateways for RH.

Meir's Army Training

Meir left us a voicemail today. The army told everyone to call their parents before they go out to the field for some dangerous training.

We're in the studio now as I type this, editing & mixing Aunt Dory's "Bar Mitzvah Song". I'm thinking I'd like a different title.

New JOb

For those of you who don't know, I have begun a new job that started this past Monday. I am working for Sulam in Rockville, MD about 20 min from Uncle Yossie's house. I will be commuting approximately an hour each way. So far its not so bad.
Sulam is a Special Ed school which is integrated in a regular ed school(Hebrew Academy of Greater Washington). My responsibilites will be to escort/assist these special ed students who have learning and behavioral issues, and bring them into the regular ed. classrooms. I will need to make sure the student is not disrupting the class. Or if the lesson is being taught in a complicated manner, I will try to help the student better understand the lesson or modify a test or wksht to better fit his specific needs. Most of the students I'll be working with are 6th-8th grade boys in Math and Science (HELPPP).
So far, I've met the staff, and they are all so wonderful. I'll be meeting the students on Friday. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the year.

I took my first CT scan today. Here is the email I received concerning it!!

"I just wanted to let you know that the CT scans result came back today and there is no evidence of metastatic disease."

I received the most adorable phone call from Efraht last night. She had to tell me "I'll get you my pretty heh heh heh" Her favorite character from the "Wizard of Oz" is the bad witch. I laughed so hard it was great!!

Yesterday, Andrew and his family came into Brooklyn to visit Aunt Helen and I met them too. We all went out to Dougies for supper. We had a nice time. They all look good. Nikki got tall.

Miriam and I spent a nice shabbos in Stamford. And I am excited because I found a matching Shower curtain for my new purple towels in Home Goods. I took down the other one I bought and hung this one. It looks great.

These are pictures from our trip to Cantigny last Sunday. Its sort of like this military park with museums. Pretty fun. (I was able to go because I am doing training at work, so I go in Monday-Friday, and have Sunday off for the time being). I recommend it for anyone who wants to come visit us in Chicago.
