Hi everyone. This is the first time I'm writing on the blog. I felt compelled to share with everyone how great Aryeh Leb/Aba performed at his concert on Sunday. He had everyone in tears when he spoke and sang Papa, Can you hear me? (Esti is still crying). B"H, it was a successful fundraiser for our friend Joe Shapiro's organization, Concerned Friends of Cystic Fibrosis. Kol Hakavod! LaylaTov! (Back to Pesach cleaning). Can't wait to see y'all who are coming...and hope IY"H to see everyone else soon too!!

Yossi's Tubes

FYI Yossi is scheduled to get ear tubes placed at 12:00 Friday March 12. My main concern is that he is not allowed to eat before the surgery , and I inquired about making it earlier and they can't, so I am sure it will be fun starving my kid and trying to explain to him why he can't eat. SUpposedly the procedure only takes 15 minutes and then I think he stays for an hour or so to rest and let the anestesia wear off. It is a firday and its at Hopkins, which can take forever, so hopefully we'll be ok making it home for shabbos. Just wanted to keep everyone informed. Hopefully we'll see an improvement in his speech.

Cousin Fran's yahrtzeit

Cousin Fran's yahrtzeit starts tonight it is March 4th this year 18th of Adar. I can't beleive it is a year already.

MTA hearing

I went to a MTA hearing last night to voice my idea to save the Q74 bus which runs in KGH. It is slated to be completely cut. After listening to countless politicians speak and speak and say the same things then the public got to speak. Also mostly the same concerns. Don't put a tollon teh cross bay bridge for rockaway residents, don't cut this bus route etc. Then came my turn to spak and I had a common sense plan to combine 2 bus routes. It looked like some of the panel actually took notice. 1 board member actually took out the bus map while I was speaking to follow along. Then on the bus ride home I was speaking to a man who was at hte hearing(I could tell by the booklet we both had) he turns out to be a bus driver on a route I mentioned about combining, and he thought it was a good idea too. He said he has ins with the union and will present it to them too. Who knows your sister and aunt might be the next Norma Rae!

Megillah

So on Purim morning, I heard a really bad laining and I was pretty sure I needed to hear it again. So went back to the same shul for the 11:00 laining because I had heard that someone else was supposed to lain, but it was actually the same guy. It was really embarrassing because he saw me and knew I was there the first time. I left a few minutes in and caught another laining (at Chabad much to my chagrin; they had one every hour). Anyway, I saw the guy again this morning and he asked me if he did better the second time. So I guess he didn't realize I left, which is good.
