Remember salt sticks and onion kichel we bought at Korn's bakery? A few weeks ago. I bought a new cookbook that has all those receipes and more. It has all the bakery recipes. I finally tried some of those recipes. I made onion kichel which came out pretty good but was a little dense. Last night I made kaiser rolls and salt sticks. The salt sticks came out good but the rolls could be a little airier. They do taste good. Maybe now I should get a kitchen aide with the bread paddle. I had to knead the dough by hand.

We Made It

BH we made it okay. Delta lost one piece and we only had 3 out of 4 suitcases in NY (this huge suitcase) but OF COURSE it was waiting for us in Israel. It was better that we didn't have to shlep it around. Flight was ok. We have a rental car and that worked out. The apt is really nice. That's as far as we've gotten so far.
