Small World...

After locking myself out of my apt. at 8 am this morning with no phone, no keys, wet hair etc... I borrowed my indian neighbor's phone to call Suri who has the only number I know by heart. She was already in school but was kind enough to try and call my friend who would hopefully be able to get me a key and rescue me. After waiting and waiting, davening, and feeling lonely for an hour and a half 2 men who call themselves CHAVEIRIM came to rescue me. Suri had called them to come help me. After ten minutes of them forcing pins and tools in my lock, I toldthe chaveirim how impressed I am with such an organization as I am coming from out of town. The "chaver" asked me where I'm from, I said Memphis. He said "O I know some people from Memphis". I answered, "O who?". and He begins his list starting with "ARyeh Samberg .." I excitedly told him (Bentzion Weiss) "Thats my dad". He knows Abba from Neveh days and he asked about Uncle Yossi too.

  1. You have a good head and lucky you live near your sister. I have the Chaveirim # in my cell phone and luckily never had to use them. The last time I locked myself out of my apt I was with Coosuin Miriam on a very hot day.I had a wedding later on so I knew Carol would be home (i hoped) I ended up borrowing some clothes from Miriam just in case. When I did get back to my apt, Carol was home and I had about 10 minutes to change into my clothes and catch my ride to the wedding. I did lock myself out once when Carol was in Israel and had to wait until her son came home to get into her apt to get my keys.
