Nice Shabbos

We had a very nice Shabbos here. The mother of a friend of mine was visiting town and we had them over for Shabbos. (He lives in the dorm at Skokie Yeshiva.) It was a big challenge getting the house ready with Akiva doing his best to make sure we couldn't get anything done, but we managed it. Also, we all had colds for much of the week, so that didn't make it any easier. But in the end it turned out really nice, and we are very glad we had them.

If anybody wants us to ship them some leftovers, let us know.

This is Snow

snow day

We have another snow day today. My street is clear and passable because a front end loader came through around 3:30am and piled the snow at the corner in about a 15ft mound. I will probably go out later and clear off the car which is buired in. The NYC buses are not running yet. But it does look pretty out there.

phone working

I don't know when my phone service was restored because when I found out it wasn't working, Iunplugged it from the wall jack and plugged in another phone. I forgot to replug in my phone until tonight when I wanted to test it again. But since nobody called me on my cell, I guess nobody has anything to talk to me about.

no home phone

My home phone is out of order for the passed couple of days. It might not get fixed until early next week. It is cable that is broken so it is not just my phone. If by some chance any of you need or want to talk to me, please call me on my cell.

silver spring news

Last Thursday night, Lisa received her pin for becoming a NBCT (National Board Certified Teacher). It was very nice being there to share in this very prestigious achievement.

Also, the family went snowtubing today. We had a great time.

got my job back

I picked Adina up at the airport yesterday and took the west bound exit instead of east. We ended up touring Astoria and Long Island City trying to get to Bayside. I will get a GPS soon. We went to Tamar's engagement party. I ended up waiting with Aunt Helen as her Access a Ride was an hour late but she made very good time getting home. Today I went to pick up Adina and Grandpa in Bayside stopped for Pizza on Main street and then took them to the airport where they were meeting her cousin who flew in from Denver. As I write this they are probably getting ready to board their flight to Memphis. Esti enjoy your time with Grandpa!!!!

Ima`s Gone!

Hey! It`s Esti! Most of you probably know that ima went to New York to get grandpa. She will be back tomorrow night. I miss her but i know she will be back soon on the bright side when she comes back grandpa will be back! I can`t wait to see him! We are managing well with out her,(sort-of.) Anyways i know everything for grandpa is ready now all we need is him! and the snow is melting so i guess all the fun we can have when they get back is fun with grandpa!

On the Road Again!

Scott and I are heading up to Bensalem for Shabbos. We're both taking off of school tomorrow, and Monday we're off for the holiday. We plan to go some shopping for wedding/marriage stuff in Lakewood on Sunday.

As for me, I've been living in Kemp Mill, Silver Spring for about a week 1/2. Its so far so good. I get to wake up later and have only filled my gas tank up once this entire week. The family that Im stayin with- FUchs, are really nice and are being very accomodating to me.

more snow

Hi everyone - I think we all have had some snow fall this week. I am at work now but the clients are not coming in. Sanitation was out plowing last night so most of the streets are passable. It looks like a typical NY snowstorm now unlike 2 weeks ago. Public schools are open today and everything is running. It is still slushy and slippery and cold. On the way in, I used my Dunkin Donuts coupon for a 99cent Iced coffee. Why fight the weather!!!!

It`s Esti. (sorry if your getting annoyed but abba told me to write that every time.) It was fun having Yaakov, Mindy Scott, and Miriam here for Shabbos. I really miss you guys! And i can`t wait to see you and everyone else at the wedding! But i have a music performance in March and i`m not sure if i`m going to miss it. My class has two dances to do in the play! Has anyone ever heard of Yonah Weinberg? I know some of you have. Anyways that is my dance teacher`s mom! and she wrote that play! ( The 4th grade will be doing a play while the other classes do dances to the play in the middle.) Every year we do a play that she wrote with the same characters. My teacher needs to take away and add some parts because it may be too hard to act out and there is more people in the 4th grade then in the play. Any will all work out our class has not learned the dance yet but we will find out soon. Happy new year!!

trip

Well I got to spend quality time with the SS Sambergs except I was the receipeint of TLC as I was sick. I must have caught a virus so I ended up sleeping most of Sunday and left Monday morning a 7:30am. I went to work and got there around 12:15. There was traffic and contruction in Staten Island. I am still not feeling well so I will leave early. The added bonus was I got to see Miriam and Scott. Thanks
