Nice Shabbos
We had a very nice Shabbos here. The mother of a friend of mine was visiting town and we had them over for Shabbos. (He lives in the dorm at Skokie Yeshiva.) It was a big challenge getting the house ready with Akiva doing his best to make sure we couldn't get anything done, but we managed it. Also, we all had colds for much of the week, so that didn't make it any easier. But in the end it turned out really nice, and we are very glad we had them.

I thought the biggest challenge would have been the snow. It is here! How come I don't get an invitation? I was invited to a very nice bar/bat mitzvah luncheon and then melaveh malkeh. I don't think I will eat until noon!! What is Akiva up to besides undoing everything you did?
