Update from Naomi

HI guys! I miss everyone so much but baruch hashem I’m loving Israel!! Most people had a very hard time adjusting to dorm life and the water and the food and the whole diff life here but thank G-d I have an awesome apartment and awesome roommates and I adjusted very well. We are known for being the best room in Darchei Binah just btw! Also the teachers here are amazing and i highly enjoy most all of my classes and some are quite challenging! We’ve been on a few trips so far. We went to a pretty view, went to kotel tunnels, slichos at kotel, mud caving, maarat hamahpela, kever rochel etc. yes we do learn too! Selichos was amazing! At 1am thousands and thousands of Jews many many not even frum were all crying at the kotel to be forgiven. My Rosh Hashanah was amazing. I was at an Israeli family who used to live in Memphis and it was super inspiring! It was so nice when the whole shul was singing and dancing about Hashem being crowned king. Also by havdala the ppl I stayed at played music and all the kids played their toy instruments. It was beautiful and inspirational!! I see Meir sometimes. We’re closer than we’ve ever been before. It’s great! He’s doing well. For Yom Kippur I’m going to an Israeli hesder yeshiva that Meir heard had a beautiful davening! I am going to the Nissels for a meal sukkos and I’ll be in Har Nof for the first days. The Nissels aren’t having lts of guest but they made an exception for me since I’m a Samberg. BTW they say hi!! I keep a journal and write in it every night and I’m taking pictures and really enjoying all of my experiences here! Israel is such a fun and funny place! On the bus people just hand you their babies to hold while they go pay the driver! I’ve gained lots of weight already but I hope to b eating healthier and working out more soon! My roommates and I are having weekly contests of who loses mote weight! I also went to the Kramer’s for a shabbas and it was super fun and nice! I really love it here and look forward to talking to all of u in real life but for now i hope this does it! gmar chasima tova! lshana habaa byirushalyim!! love naomi!!

  1. I'm glad you are having an awesome time in Israel. Are you going to Otniel for Yom Kippur? My friend Freda was there last year and she said it was so inspirational. Her son is studying there. G'mar tov
