Ich ub gevarfen the air conditioner doch de fenster
That is a new version of sentence I put together when daddy used to try to teach my Yiddish the original word was mantel (coat) instead of a/c. I threw the coat out of the window was replaced with I threw the air conditioner out of the window. As Larry and I were attempting to put the new AC in my bedroom window, the window tilted forward and down went the ac to the deck below. Turns out the window was missing a latch and the other latch wasn't locked in. We put it back in the box took it back to home depot to exchange it. I still don't have the A/C in. Ironically, The co-op wants the support brackets installed to avoid fallng a/cs.

Oh My! This AC thing is quite a production! I hope you're staying cool
ReplyDeleteI bought a drill and will attempt to install the bracket myself. We thought it had to be drilled into the cement but it doesn't. Then I hope to have someone help put the A?C in the window. I am designing my own plexiglass window to allow air when I don't have to use the A/C. The ceiling fan helps but it is warm.
ReplyDeleteDid Home Depot actually take back a unit that had fallen out of a window?
ReplyDeleteWe packed it up and told them it was damaged. I wasn't the only one returning air conditioners. The new one isn't that strong.
