Hospital Tour

Mindy and I took a tour of the maternity ward of the hospital today. It was very interesting and informative. (I just hope we get there on time.)
But anyway, I had to take off from work to go to this thing, and when I left, I just told my co-workers that the reason I was leaving in the middle of the shift was that I had to take my wife to the hospital. They all knew she is pregnant so they assumed she was going into labor. Then when I came back two hours later, they were all asking me what happened so I told them she had the baby. I actually got a few "congratulations" before some of them realized that I wouldn't come back to work right after my wife gave birth. It was hilarious.

Mystery solved (at least for me)

I remember when we would sit at the Fri. nite Shabbos meal and talk about how many light bulbs were out in the big star of the BethEl dome, and also wonder how they change the light bulbs. Simmy Pollack who lives here told me over Pesach that there are 2 domes witha crawl space in between them. The bulb changer would crawl in between the domes and take out the burned out one and then drop in new ones. The corner chandeliers were on a pully system. For the first time in 35 years, I am able to go to sleep w/o wondering how they chaged the bulbs.

Birthday

Happy Birthday Nathaniel. Enjoy the Day and stop off at the New Fairway on the way home. Funny how Fairway is opening a new store on your Birthday. Maybe it is a good sign.

Yom Hashoah 2010

At this year's Yom Hashoah Observance the Cantors sang Vehi She'Amda (at Naomi's suggestion) & it was my turn to do the Kel Moleh.

Here are the links to them.

my day at home

Yesterday, I spent the day at home trying to get the place back in shape after Pesach. Before I put the boxes of Pesach stuff back into the closet I deceided it was a good time to see what was inside a big plastic bin in my bedroom and put that in the closet. There were alot of papers and tax returns. I also found a shabbos table clothand a framed birchat habayit which I must have bought to give away as presents. I never left the house or go to weddings which I was invited to (I answered I wasn't going). Tonight, I will place all the boxes in the closet and put away the laundry.

Pesach 2010 Family Pictures

We need a Prime Minister like Menachem Begin

Nothing to do with the family, but here's Menachem Begin's response when the US "punished" Israel for defending itself back in 1981.
