Happy Birthday Nathaniel. Enjoy the Day and stop off at the New Fairway on the way home. Funny how Fairway is opening a new store on your Birthday. Maybe it is a good sign.
Fairway is a supermarket that boasts upscale food at reasonable prices. I have'nt been to one yet. The original is on the upper west side. they have a big one in Red Hook near Ikea too. Now they opened one in Pelham which is on the way for Nat.
Oh yeah, now that brings back memories. I used to shop at Fairway when I was in touro. It was always crowded, and aisles were kinda small and I would have to shlep my packages on a subway or bus and I would say the whole time, "how does anyone live in manhatten? Its crazy! " The prices weren't terrible though considering it was the City- I guess thats why I shlepped there.
Actually, Helene went there today. It's a phenominal store with a full kosher meat section under supervision. There's another Fairway coming to Stamford in a few months.
What's the "new Fairway"?
ReplyDeleteIts still your birthday here for half an hour and you are probably asleep, so we hope you have happy birthday dreams during that time.

ReplyDeletespeaking of old Fairway, I still drink coffee from the "Irish Coffee" mugs on Pesach.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of mugs: Remember the Polisg coffee mug and the 1/2 cup of coffee mug. Those were great!
ReplyDeleteI think I have a 1/2 coffee mug. And the coffee was good in the Irish coffee mugs over Pesach. Mark still has a couple of Kit Kat clocks.
