The baby has been named Chana Leah named after Yisroel's grandmother of blessed memory, who recently passed away.
We are proud that Chana Leah bears the name of this wonderful woman who among her many sacrifices for Torah, moved to Memphis (hint hint) to give her 3 daughters a Torah education.
We pray that Chana Leah will live up to this great legacy & will bring Nachas to her parents, grandparents & great grandparents & all of us for many healthy years to come.
Aunt Hilda should also be happy now as she had asked us to name Suri, "Chana Leah" after Anita. I guess now we know, 25 years later, why our Ruach Hakodesh, that one gets when choosing a name, compelled us otherwise.
Mazal Tov!
Anita was a very vivacious happy go lucky person person. Brilliant in math and an inspiration to me to grow my nails long. I remember she always had long nice nails. Yes Aunt Hilda is probably smiling. I think Grandmas's(Etel) mother's name was also Chana, possibly Chana Leah. She might be buried somewhere in Staten Island. I think she came to America.
ReplyDeleteAny way MAZEL tov and welcome to the family Chana Leah - May you grow up to bring Nachas to all of your family
